Description
The CAN adaptor and modem is a kit used for CAN traffic with cellular connectivity. The kit can be used to monitor a CAN network, read and write from/to a CAN bus. It has cellular modem that can connect to cellular network. The CAN kit connects the CAN bus to the USB port of a PC or notebook, which also supplies the power to the adapter. The CAN kit has a galvanically isolated CAN transceiver that meets the specifications of the ISO11898-2 standard and provides galvanic isolation of up to 5000 VRMS. The kit also includes OBD II cable. The kit and OBD II cable can be connected to a OBD II.
The modem is an EG915Q-NA that works with the STM32 Motherboard. It also has connector for the LTE antenna. EG915Q-NA wireless modem provides a maximum data rate of 10Mbps downlink and 5Mbps uplink. It provides data connectivity on LTE-FDD networks. The modem EG915Q-NA supports Wi-Fi scan function.
Using the motherboard and CAN and modem daughterboards together enables endless number of applications and uses cases. It enables rich sets of Internet protocols, industry-standard interfaces (USB/GPIOs/UART/I2C/ADC/DAC/Status Indicator) and abundant functionalities. Bothe mother- and daughterboard offer a high integration level and enables integrators and developers to easily design their applications and take advantage of low power consumption, many functionalities, and USB drivers for Windows 7/8/8.1/10, Linux and Android
The board is also compatible with Arduino and Arduino software (IDE). Arduino sketches and examples are provided with the kit and additional sketches can be developed and uploaded to the board
